Netilla Networks, Best's third successful startup, was founded in 1999. It has grown to become a worldwide leader in secure remote access technology that allow a company's employees to securely connect to their business applications, programs and data through standard Web browsers – from anywhere, anytime. Netilla's products improve people's productivity by enabling them work from anywhere, while extending the value of the organization's existing I.T. (information technology) systems. Netilla has more than 600 enterprise customers worldwide, including Lockheed Martin, Rolls-Royce, Lexmark International and Herr Foods.
After beginning his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Best co-founded his first tech startup: Teleos Communications, a video-networking company that was ultimately sold to Madge Networks. His second start-up was AccessWorks Communications, an Internet and remote access company acquired by 3Com Corporation. Post acquisition, Best supervised 3Com's Remote Access Products business as vice president and general manager. Best has also been named one of “40 Under 40” by NJ Biz Magazine, earmarking him as one of the state's top young business leaders.
