SOMERSET, N.J. - June 28, 2004 - Netilla ® Networks, Inc.,
a leading provider of SSL VPN and secure application access management solutions, today announced the appointment of Anthony Rocca as d irector, western region sales. A broadly experienced technology sales executive, Rocca will supervise a major expansion of all Netilla’s sales activities in the western half of the U.S.
"Anthony has achieved spectacular sales results at his earlier positions, and he brings to Netilla a unique combination of sales management skills, excellent West Coast contacts and the ability to communicate the real-world benefits of new technologies for customers," said Don Sullivan, executive vice president for worldwide sales and marketing at Netilla Networks. "Anthony will be an invaluable asset in ramping up Netilla's presence in the western U.S., especially in Silicon Valley with the many technology companies who need secure remote access solutions."
Rocca joins Netilla from NetScaler Inc., an application acceleration, security, and SSL VPN systems provider based in San Jose, Cal., where his positions included regional manager and director of sales for the Pacific Western area. Rocca consistently exceeded sales quotas and acquired key accounts including Google, Yahoo, and WebEx.
Previously, Rocca was regional sales manager, western region territory at Seattle-based F5 Networks, an Internet traffic management and SSL VPN vendor. At F5, Rocca's achievements included being a top revenue producer worldwide as well as managing the company's OEM (original equipment manufacturer) partner sales. Rocca also acquired initial key strategic accounts while at F5 including Oracle, Hewlett-Packard, McAfee Security and eBay.
"I see tremendous untapped potential for Netilla in the Western U.S. as we communicate to customers our compelling advantages over other SSL VPNs - strong policy enforcement thanks to a dynamic firewall, broad application support in one platform, and simplified setup and management," said Rocca.
Netilla products are marketed exclusively through a network of Netilla Certified Solution Providers. Rocca will work directly with VARs to help them identify prospects and throughout all phases of the sales cycle.
The Netilla Security Platform has achieved ICSA Labs certification, which required passing its stringent Cryptography Product Certification Program requirements. Netilla offers the broadest range of secure remote application access, including thin-client access to virtually any server-based application (including Windows-, Linux-, UNIX- or mainframe), as well as access to Web/intranet-based and "fat client" applications. The Netilla Security Platform is available in three versions - Business-Class, Enterprise Class and Global Class - to support up to 2,000 concurrent users in a single platform. Netilla's unique dynaTRUST policy-enforcement operating environment authenticates users on the basis of identity, entitlements, environment and client integrity.
