SOMERSET, N.J. - Apr. 26, 2004 - Netilla ® Networks, Inc. announced that its Netilla Security Platform has met the criteria for ICSA Labs SSL VPN Gateway Certification. ICSA Labs ® , an independent division of TruSecure ® Corporation, tests and certifies more than 90 percent of the security IT products in global use today. As the first independent and widely recognized certification program for SSL VPN gateways, the ICSA Labs certification program marks an industry benchmark for this important new security category (ICSA Lab's press release can be found at http://www.trusecure.com/company/press/pr_20040426.shtml).
"This ICSA Labs Certification means our customers can continue to benefit from Netilla’s unique policy-enforcement capabilities with the assurance of full compliance with ICSA's rigorous security standards,” said Bryan Bain, vice president of marketing and corporate development at Netilla Networks, Inc. “The fact that this industry sector now offers the same type of recognized certification program that older networking technologies such as IPSec VPNs have been measured against is proof positive that today's SSL VPN products represent a mature - and secure -solution for delivering ubiquitous access while safeguarding the enterprise network."
"Netilla has demonstrated its commitment to meeting the demanding criteria for this important emerging security category,” said George Japak, vice president of ICSA Labs. “As security becomes an even higher priority for the global business community, this certification will guide customers to products they can trust.”
The Netilla Security Platform (NSP) SSL VPN appliance provides policy-based secure remote application access to the virtual enterprise. The NSP differs from other SSL VPN solutions, uniquely factoring identity, entitlements, client integrity, and environmental variables into the authentication sequence. A second generation solution, it delivers “anytime, anywhere” access with robust security control over the endpoint environment -- extending security beyond the encrypted tunnel by dynamically identifying trusted endpoints, enforcing security policies, and enabling single-sign-on capabilities.
The Netilla Security Platform is available in three configurations – Business, Enterprise and Global class - to meet the application access needs of small to large enterprises. The NSP provides secure access via standard Web browsers to the broadest range of enterprise applications, including native support for virtually any legacy client/server application without add-ons or middleware. NSP offers fine-grained access control that restricts each user to his or her authorized applications.
