CeBIT 2004, Hannover, Germany -
March 18, 2004
- Netilla ® Networks, Inc., a leading provider of SSL VPN and secure application access management solutions, today announced that it is strengthening its commitment to the European marketplace by entering into an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) relationship with Pyramid Computer, a leading German-based provider of PC and networking hardware platforms. Netilla's rapidly-growing European customer base will benefit from having a local source of supply for the Netilla Security Platform product line.
A prototype of the European version of the Netilla Security Platform will be on display at Pyramid's CeBIT exhibit (STAND Hall 16 G01 ).
Under terms of the OEM agreement, Pyramid will begin sourcing select models of the Netilla Security Platform by porting Netilla's patent-pending dynaTRUST policy-enforcement operating environment onto Pyramid's hardware platforms. Product shipments are set to begin by the end of March to Netilla customers across Europe.
"The European market represents Netilla's fastest-growing region, and the new Pyramid relationship is the latest example of our commitment to meet the specific requirements of our European customers and resellers," said Jan Vekemans, managing director of Netilla Networks Europe, Ltd. "Pyramid has a strong reputation as one of the most innovative, reliable and cost-effective platform vendors in Europe. The ability to offer our unique dynaTRUST operating environment on the robust Pyramid platform will greatly increase cost efficiencies and will enable us to dynamically respond to local market conditions."
"We're seeing strong interest in SSL VPN solutions from companies across Europe, and our relationship with Netilla offers a European-tuned solution that can't be beat on either price or functionality," said Frieder Hansen, president of Pyramid Computer.
Netilla Networks, based in the U.S., announced the formation of Netilla Networks Europe as a wholly-owned sales and marketing subsidiary last November. Jan Vekemans, a broadly experienced European networking security executive, was named general manager. Netilla, whose products are distributed exclusively through the channel, has quickly built a pan-European distribution and reseller organization. The Dutch Ministry of Transportation and Reed Elsevier are just two of Netilla's many European enterprise customers.
