SOMERSET, N.J. - Jan. 5, 2004 - Netilla© Networks, Inc., a leading provider of SSL VPN and secure application access management solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Alternative Technology, Inc. (AltTech), a leading technology distributor that will introduce the Netilla product line to its broad base of value-added resellers across the U.S.
Under terms of the agreement, Denver-based AltTech will distribute the Netilla Security Platform family of SSL VPN products. The agreement strengthens Netilla's commitment to marketing exclusively through the channel while expanding Alternative's thin-client computing and security product portfolio to encompass an industry-leading SSL VPN solution.
"Netilla is the only pure-play SSL VPN solution sold exclusively through the channel, and this strategic partnership with a fast-growing leader like Alternative Technology strengthens that commitment," said Don Sullivan, executive vice president for worldwide sales and marketing at Netilla Networks. "Netilla's VAR network will benefit from AltTech's proven expertise in implementing and supporting thin-client solutions, while AltTech's own reseller network will now gain access to Netilla's premier SSL VPN solution. We look forward to working closely with AltTech to develop aggressive market development programs."
AltTech will offer the Netilla line as part of its Server-Based Computing, Infrastructure/Edge and Security product offerings. AltTech's distribution product roster includes Citrix, Wyse Technology, ScriptLogic and ThinPrint, among others.
"We see strong demand for the Netilla Security Platform among our network of resellers, whose customers want the benefits of simple and secure remote access to enterprise data via standard Web browsers," said William R. Botti, president and COO of Alternative Technology. "While providing all the standard benefits of SSL VPN solutions, what makes Netilla uniquely appealing to us is its ability to enforce enterprise security policies for all users."
The Netilla Security Platform enables companies to securely extend their enterprise networks to any authorized user via standard Web browsers. The Netilla Security Platform combines three secure application access modes: browser-based access to client-server applications (Windows, UNIX, Linux or mainframe), Web-based and Intranet applications, and network-layer access via the Netilla Virtual Adapter that allows PC-based applications to exchange data with central servers through an SSL tunnel. Netilla's dynaTRUST operating system enforces enterprise security policies and provisions trust-based access to network resources on the basis of four key variables: a user's identity, entitlements, environment and client integrity.
