SOMERSET, N.J. – Oct.
27, 2003 - Netilla® Networks, Inc.,
a leading provider of SSL VPN and secure application
access management solutions, today announced the
Netilla dynaTRUST Alliance (NdTA) Partner Program.
Through collaborations with premier security, identity
management and client integrity vendors, this technology
partnership program will enable Netilla’s
customers to deploy fully integrated best-of-breed
solutions to create “virtual trust domains.” These
domains will invoke granular enterprise security
policies to govern session-aware entitlements that
are specific to the type of user, the environment,
and integrity of the network endpoint.
The formation of the NdTA partner program reinforces
and extends Netilla’s recent announcement of
its dynaTRUST policy-management and enforcement operating
system for secure application access management (SAAM).
dynaTRUST lets enterprises provision dynamic trust-based
access to applications and network resources on the
basis of four key variables: a user’s identity,
entitlements, environment and client integrity. In
Netilla’s strategic vision, SSL VPNs that are
used today primarily for remote access are evolving
into enterprise-wide policy enforcement points that
will mediate access to applications and data for all
trusted users within an organization, regardless of
their location.
“Many of our customers who deployed the Netilla
Security Platform initially for SSL VPN remote access
are quickly finding that it’s equally valuable
as a policy enforcement point, thanks to our unique
ability to seamlessly link to Microsoft Active Directory
and other group policy stores,” said Bryan Bain,
vice president of marketing and corporate development
at Netilla Networks.
Bain added: “Now, through our new NdTA partner
program, we’re integrating all of the critical
building blocks that will put Netilla at the heart
of the emerging market for secure application access
management – of which SSL VPNs are a subset.
These partnerships will allow a Netilla-based solution
to identify and authenticate users, provision trust-based
access only to authorized resources, mitigate vulnerabilities
and malicious intent from compromising the enterprise,
and enhance the corporate security governance and
regulatory compliance functions by reporting all policy
events to centralized security management consoles.”
Netilla will invite all of its current collaboration
partners to join the Netilla dynaTRUST Alliance program.
This includes the endpoint security vendors already
announced as part of its earlier dynaTRUST announcements:
Microsoft, Sygate, Symantec, WholeSecurity and ZoneLabs.
Netilla’s existing partners, including ActivCard,
Aladdin, RSA Security and VASCO will also be invited
to become NdTA members.
The NdTA program establishes a set of criteria for
prospective partners, including technology integration
and/or interoperability certification, joint marketing
activities and potential collaborative sales programs.
For information on becoming an NdTA member, please
send an email to NdTA@netilla.com.
Netilla has also released a new white paper, “The
Future of Secure Application Access Management,” that
outlines the key issues facing enterprises in providing
access to applications and centralized resources to
more diverse sets of users. The white paper can be
