Leading IT Security Distributor Will Handle
Netilla Product Line in U.K. and European Markets
SOMERSET, New Jersey and BERKSHIRE, England - December 10, 2002 -
Netilla® Networks, the premier provider of SSL Web-based VPN platforms,
and Allasso, Europe's largest specialist security distributor, have
reached an agreement for Allasso to distribute Netilla's clientless
remote access solution to the European market. Under the agreement,
Allasso will distribute the Netilla network appliance to security network
and enterprise value-added resellers in Europe.
The Netilla Security Platform simplifies the deployment of enterprise-strength
remote access while providing enhanced security. The Netilla appliance
enables enterprises to provide remote or mobile workers with secure
access to centralized corporate applications using a Web browser. Netilla's
Web-based "thin client" approach marks a significant advance
over existing virtual private networking (VPN) alternatives by eliminating
the time and cost of installing applications on the remote user's PC.
Installation of the Netilla Security Platform provides end-to-end encryption
coupled with seamless integration into strong authentication technologies,
without the need to modify existing application servers or to install
VPN client software.
"The Netilla appliance enables the use of a clientless, browser-based
SSL VPN solution to access legacy Microsoft, UNIX and mainframe applications
via a single gateway," said Clive McCafferty, Allasso's European
business development and marketing director. "This solution provides
significantly improved security through a strong authentication and
authorization framework, and at a price/performance point that is unequaled
in the market."
"Netilla is excited to be working with Allasso, whose expertise
as a premier value-added distributor of security products will help
speed the deployment of our solution across Europe," said Reggie
Best, president and CEO of Netilla Networks. "While the U.S. has
until now been our primary focus, the unique value of our clientless
remote access solution will have strong appeal for European enterprises
as well - especially in manufacturing, finance, professional services,
and the public sector."
"Netilla allows remote and mobile employees to boost their productivity
by giving them a Head Office working experience from virtually anywhere
in the world," said Steve Jennings, business development manager
at LANsition, an Allasso value-added reseller based in the U.K. "Netilla
is also extremely simple to administer and maintain, leading to savings
in management and support costs. There is no client software to install,
no client hardware to upgrade and secure access to corporate applications
can be given instantly to anyone with an Internet connection and a browser."
