Netilla's Web-based "thin client" approach marks a significant advance over existing virtual private networking (VPN) alternatives by eliminating the time and cost of installing applications on the remote user's PC. Remote users access corporate applications using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption built in to today's Web browsers.
