LAS VEGAS and SOMERSET, N.J., May 7, 2002
Netilla Networks, Inc., (www.netilla.com), the networking services company
that supplies secure remote access to applications, files and data over
the Internet, today announced the general availability of the Netilla
Enterprise Service Platform (Netilla-ESP). The Netilla-ESP extends Netilla's
offerings to scale to larger enterprises. The enterprise release further
strengthens the company's position as an industry leader in Web-based,
secure remote networking. Netilla Networks will demonstrate the Netilla-ESP
at Booth #3034 at the 2002 Networld+Interop Exhibition this week in
Las Vegas.
"The enterprise release of the Netilla Security Platform marks
a significant milestone for our product offering," said Reggie
Best, CEO and President of Netilla Networks. "The market has declared
its need for fast to deploy, easy to manage, scalable and secure extranet
solutions, and we have the perfect answer with an affordable product
that excels in these key areas. More than 100 companies and solutions
integrators are seeing the benefits of Netilla Networks' service platform,
and I am delighted to introduce a new version that delivers specific
functionality for larger-scale organizations."
The Netilla Security Platform is a secure remote networking appliance
based on Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption and other Web technologies,
that enables browser-based access to legacy Windows, UNIX/Linux, mainframe
as well as native Web applications in the data center. Unlike software
or middleware-based networking approaches that require extensive integration
and significant ongoing maintenance, the Netilla Security Platform is
a practical, quick-to-deploy and simple to manage solution that lowers
the total cost of ownership of secure remote access deployments.
"In working closely with customers, our development team was
able to enhance our product to suit the more stringent authentication
requirements for industries involved with sensitive data and applications,"
said Ken Araujo, CTO of Netilla Networks. "Our suite of scalability
enhancements and higher capacity platform allows larger companies to
more economically expand their number of users while managing the administration
of those users more effectively."
Beta customers such as Global Knowledge (www.globalknowledge.com) have
already experienced Netilla Networks' ability to deliver secure, Web-based
remote access to business-critical applications and data. The Netilla-ESP
release provides a wide range of enterprise-level product improvements.
The load balancing and fail-over functionalities included in the release
provide increased availability for the mission-critical applications
that larger enterprises depend on, providing higher reliability with
heavier volume, and helping to keep the promise of anytime, anywhere
remote access.
Security enhancements include greater application protection against
both internal and external hackers, and stronger authentication security
options. Starting with the Enterprise release, Netilla Networks is now
an RSA Secured partner, utilizing RSA® SecurID® 2-factor
authentication to further protect business-critical resources.
