Reginald P. Best of Netilla Networks, Inc., has joined the Advisory
Board of Fairleigh Dickinson University's Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial
Studies. He brings more than 18 years of experience in management, marketing
and engineering as well as a wealth of entrepreneurial spirit to the
Board.
Best's company, Netilla Networks, Inc. (www.netilla.com), is his third
technology start-up, a service company that supplies secure Web access
to office applications through solution providers. The company has strong
financial backers, including the recently formed New Jersey Technology
Council Venture Fund, which made its first investment in Netilla Networks.
His first entrepreneurial venture was the cofounding of Teleos Communications,
a video-networking company that was acquired by Madge Networks. Best
then founded AccessWorks Communications, an Internet and remote access
company acquired by 3Com Corp. Post acquisition, he ran 3Com's $300M
Remote Access Products business as vice president and general manager.
Best earned his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from City College
of New York and his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia
University.
He joins eleven Board members who are charged with assisting the Institute
in developing its strategic plans. "Our advisory board," said
Leo J. Rogers, Jr., director of the Institute, "serves as both
sounding board and rudder. We look to these experienced entrepreneurs
and industry leaders to keep us at the forefront of today's business
environment so that we can continue to innovate new programs that fulfill
our mission of fostering entrepreneurship."
The Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies, recently recognized
as among the Top 50 entrepreneurship programs ranked by SUCCESS Magazine,
has been serving the academic and business communities in support of
entrepreneurship since 1989. The Institute's mission is to foster and
support entrepreneurship, which it does through a variety of academic
and outreach programs, the newest of which is a planned technology business
incubator on FDU's Florham-Madison campus.
